Read Plath's "Reflections" and answer SQ's 1-5 in old green lit. book (pp. 556-557) then write (following instructions in the EWP packet p. 5) the following:

My Own "Reflections of a 14 (or 15) Year Old" using Sylvia's Plath's "Reflections" as a model.

Your Choice of these 3 genres--critical review, journalistic article or a satire!  Your choices are the following: a CRITICAL REVIEW  (Choose a movie (or TV show, or concert or CD or product or play or . . .) that you have recently seen or which is very vivid in your memory and write a review of its effectiveness, worthwhileness, etc. For a copy of the Critical Review (with p. 48 of EWP packet)  or a JOURNALISTIC ARTICLE (an article that would be published in a newspaper; it can be informational or cover an event or a news story.  Examples might be an article about skateboarding or an article covering an EP hockey game or an article about the new Spanish Immersion School in EP.  Remember that you are NOT to critique anything.  You are a reporter!)  or a SATIRE (an article or essay-type paper where you critique something using ridicule, irony, etc. in order to convince your audience that a change needs to be made.  Examples are the Dave Barry satire on ballet on p. 76 in your EWP packet or Andy Rooney's satire on neat people on p. 600-601 in the OLD green lit. textbook.) NOTE: Be sure to carefully read the components of these three genres in the Selected Writing paper packet.
